In the WebClient UI, you can search for IT requirements that are assigned to a project by entering the project name as a search criterion. If you have integrated SAP NetWeaver Enterprise search, you can also use the scope as a search criterion.

As an alternative to the assignment of project task and business transaction as a task-based integration, you can also choose a header-based integration. Header-based integration means an assignment of business transactions (such as IT requirements, requests for change, or change documents) to the project header. While the task-based integration includes data synchronization of project tasks and transactions, the header-based integration has no data synchronization.

You can assign scopes, if you already assigned a solution and a branch. This is also possible if the project is already released. One scope belongs to exactly one solution.

The entities View and Scope have been revised and unified. All view-related functions have been enabled for scopes. For the migration of existing views, there is a mandatory automatic activity in SAP Solution Manager Configuration, scenario Process Management, step Configure Solution Documentation Model.

Enhanced list view

You can enhance the List and the Search Result view with inherited library elements by marking the new checkbox Include Originals. So you get an overview on all relevant part of the Solution Documentation for a specific context (for example a process) without navigating to each library element individually.

Reporting and Exporting in background for mass operations

You can perform reports for large scopes (for example, an entire solution) in batch mode. The report result is automatically downloaded to a file. You can perform content exports (such as an entire branch) in batch mode.

Now you can select a right-click option to duplicate a selected object on the canvas. This copies the object in its current form, to include its formatting changes, and pastes it on the canvas. You can duplicate a single object or multiple selected objects simultaneously.

Now you can select multiple objects on the canvas and open formatting options. You can adjust the size, color, and other standard formatting features for the selected objects all at the same time. This is useful for standardization efforts.

The Access Custom Code Library applications replace the View Custom Code Library. You can now enter objects, systems, contracts, and owners directly, when authorized adequately.

  • Software requirements expressed by the business departments

Incident Trace – ITSM Lifecycle Report

This dashboard provides a lifecycle trace report of IT Service Management transactions.

It shows incidents that need follow-up processes, such as problem management, change management and transport request management. You can trace down into the complete flow of the solution-providing process.

The trace starts from an incident. Depending on which transaction is associated in the application, the traceability matrix shows its document flow and the relations between the transactions.

You can start this tile from the IT Service Management launchpad group.

If you are using Project Management together with IT Service Management, Requirements Management and Change Request Management to plan software innovations or changes in projects, you can assign ITSM transactions, IT requirements, requests for change, or change documents to projects.
